Paraíso Borinquen was built not only as a place to stay, but as a statement: that the magic of this island should be accessible to more than just those who can easily afford it. Through our nonprofit hospitality initiative, we offer qualifying individuals, families, and community members a complimentary stay at the container home in Vega Baja.
Whether you are a Puerto Rican in the diaspora reconnecting with your roots, someone in need of rest and healing, an artist seeking inspiration, or a student documenting island life, the door is open. We review every application personally and with care.

Fully Supported
Nonprofit program guests receive the same warm welcome as any guest of Paraíso Borinquen. You will have access to the container home, the surrounding outdoor spaces, and the peace and quiet of Vega Baja.
Depending on availability, we also connect nonprofit guests with our local tour guide and transportation services so you can make the most of your time on the island. We want your stay to be meaningful, restful, and genuinely transformative.

Yes. Qualifying applicants receive complimentary accommodations at no cost. There is no application fee and no hidden charges for the stay itself.
We welcome applications from individuals, couples, and small families who fall into one of our program pillars: heritage seekers, those on a healing journey, cultural exchange participants, or community volunteers. If you do not fit neatly into a category, please apply and tell us your story.
Stay lengths are considered on a case-by-case basis and depend on availability. Most nonprofit stays range from a few nights to one week.
Our guided tour and private transportation services are separate offerings. Nonprofit guests may have access to these at reduced or no cost depending on availability and program capacity. We will discuss this during your application review.
We review every application personally and respond by email within 5 to 7 business days. All applicants, whether approved or not, will receive a personal response.
